Vessel Safety Check

Make boating as safe as possible for you, your family and your friends.

There is no charge, and no consequences if you don't pass.

For personal pleasure craft only.

A major component of a fun filled outing is a reliable boat which has all the

necessary equipment operating properly. A free vessel safety check (VSC) is an

important safe-guard. Boats that pass the examination are awarded a distinctive

VSC Decal that alerts the Coast Guard, Harbor Patrol, and other law-enforcement

agencies that your boat was found to be in full compliance with all Federal and

State boating laws. Frequently, such agencies will not detain or board boats displaying

a current-year decal that are otherwise operating safely.

Bellevue Sail and Power Squadron has certified vessel examiners who will perform a free Vessel Safety Check at your boat, at a time of mutual convenience.

The United States Power Squadrons and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary are partners in this valuable program offered to the boating public, no membership required.  Vessel examiners performing this service have been trained to look for common problems which might exist on your boat or its safety equipment.

To arrange a free inspection of your vessel please contact one of our certified vessel examiners chosen from the list below.
