Service Description
This course covers boat handling in close quarters and at sea, docking and anchoring plus the effect of boat characteristics on maneuvering. Navigation includes understanding chart symbols, plotting courses and using the various navigation tools. Maritime safety includes "rules of the road", usage of safety equipment and the need to check maritime weather information before setting out. Also included are practical sessions covering on-the-water training, using VHF radio, going through the Ballard locks, crabbing and shrimping in Puget Sound, etc. If needed, can include the material to pass the test for a Washington State Boaters Card.

All classes, seminars, clinics, et.al. are subject to cancellation if a minimum number of students is not met. If it becomes necessary to cancel your class, you will be notified via email 5 days prior to the start date.
