We are located in Bellevue, WA and serve the communities on the east side of Lake Washington: Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, Renton and Woodinville. Our main function is education. We provide two categories of public boating classes: Safe Boating and USPS Seminars.

Safe Boating

We offer two public safe boating courses: the Squadron Boating Course and America's Boating Course. The Squadron Boating Course teaches the fundamentals of safe boat handling and operation, and basic piloting, in one comprehensive classroom course. This course meets state specific and National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) requirements for certification. And completion of the course is accepted by most insurance companies.

For some, time is short and the introductory piloting and digital charting topics are less essential. We  offers an alternative course, America's Boating Course, which is useful to all boaters, from the fisherman in an outboard to the skipper of a cruiser or sailboat. It covers the same safe boat handling and operation material in just 8 hours.

For more details, contacts and schedules, please see Safe Boating CoursesClick here to register online.

USPS Seminars

In addition to safe boating classes, we offer public USPS seminars on practical boating topics such as GPS. For more details, contacts and schedules, please see SeminarsClick here to register online.

We also offer Vessel Safety Checks, a free check of a vessels equipment for compliance with federal and state safety requirements. The vessel examiners performing this service have been trained to look for some of the more common problems which might occur in your boat or its associated safety equipment. To arrange a free inspection of your vessel, please contact our Vessel Safety Examiner.
