50th Anniversary Salmon Bake

Brownsville Marina

This is a special year and we encourage more members to attend. This rendezvous is especially fun for kids with the beach to entertain them for hours. Here’s the tentative schedule of events:

Friday, June 20
Whenever     Arrivals start. Set-up (Beer keg setup on dock by 1300).

1730            Wine and Cheese Reception at dock gazebo.

Saturday, June 21
0830-0930    Pancake Breakfast at dock gazebo (eggs, cereal, fruit juice etc,
cooked by the new Bridge). First person up pours the water for the coffee!

1000-1200      Kids games will be planned! Also the Poster Contest for the kids will be set up.

1000-1500    We are focusing on socializing this year, and “remember when…” but the Education Dept may have on-the-water Skipper Saver reviews on several boats.

1330-1730    Get fire started, prepare and cook salmon, table setup.

1730            Planked Salmon Bake and Potluck Dinner, upper gazebo and a big tent!

Sunday, June 22
0730-0930    Morning coffee, (
First person up pours the water!) Pastries provided by the Deli.

Whenever     Departure, or head to the South Sound and come back to Poulsbo for the D16 rendezvous next weekend. Bellviews will have the signup info.

Potluck to Accompany Salmon

Back by popular demand, bring your favorite side dish and/or desert to share. We will not be providing any food from the Deli except their baked bread, which has always been good. Also bring your cocktail munchies to share with group gatherings. Plan on providing your own libations. Soda pop will be provided.

Safety Checks

Free boat safety checks will be available Saturday morning and afternoon and Friday by appointment.  Please add your desire for a safety check in the Comments section of the registration form. 

Reservations

Signup by e-mailing Dennis Dorratcague – dedorrat@hotmail.com , or by phoning at 425-823-6291, or better yet, use the new online registration form found on the “Rendezvous” link of our website! We need arrival date, boat or car, and the number of people attending. Reservations and prepayments would be appreciated by June 15th. (9717 NE Juanita Dr #303A, Kirkland WA 98034) Walk-ins or float-ins won’t be turned away, but we will collect your money!

Cost

The cost for the whole shindig is $20 for Saturday (Friday night is free). Kids under 12 free.

Moorage

You don’t have to reserve moorage through the marina, but need to do so through the rendezvous host, Dennis Dorratcague. Contact BSPS Warfinger on Channel 78A, low power, for directions to moorage spaces. Marina information at
www.portofbrownsville.org. Call the marina however if you plan to come on Thursday!
