T-Shirt Design Contest Rules

NOTE: This contest applies to members of District 16 and runs until 07 February 2009.

This is your chance to have your creative effort appear on the attire that will be worn during the fourth National Cruise hosted by District 16. We will most likely have T-Shirts available for the cruise, but some other items may pop out. Since we want to encourage every squadron to submit entries, we will try and make the process an easy one with rewards to your squadron.

A squadron receives a point towards the Commanders Challenge if its members submit at least one entry. The squadron whose member submits the winning design will get two extra Commanders Challenge points. That member will also get a prize. Only one submittal per member please.

The design should represent the cruise as much as possible. It takes place in the San Juan and Southern Gulf Islands, including Victoria, BC. There are a few points to remember: this is a National, not a District cruise; using the orca image above would be nice, but is not mandatory; creative and interesting designs are wanted. On the more practical side, keeping the design simple will make it easier (and less costly) to silk screen. (The orca can be captured from the home page of the cruise’s website, www.bellevuepowersquadron.org/NatCruise2010/, by right clicking on the orca and doing a “Save Picture As” action.)

Entries must be delivered to your squadron Commander before he/she leaves for the D16 Spring Council, being held on 07 February 2009. The members of the cruise committee will judge designs and the winner will be announced at the Spring Conference during the Change of Watch banquet on 28 March 2009.

Entries must be submitted on paper at least 8 ½ x 11”, but a optional digital image in JPEG format would be preferred, once the winner is selected. Again, the design must be able to be easily reproduced as a silkscreen. Please attach the form below to each entry.
