About the Bellevue Sail and Power Squadron

Pictures courtesy Bob Lowden of Norvan

The Bellevue Sail and Power Squadron was founded in 1958 when a group of Seattle Power Squadron members decided to start a squadron on the east side of Lake Washington.  In 1961, we began meeting and continue to do so at the Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club. Today, we are the third largest USPS squadron in the US. We are one of 17 Squadrons within District 16, serving Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, Renton and Woodinville. Nationally, Bellevue Sail and Power Squadron often leads with the number of students taught.
